Aim: Engagement and conversion
This project involved a startup in the pre-scale phase, supported by stable venture funding and showing good traction. They were developing an information curation platform utilizing various news aggregators as sources. Challenges appeared in engaging subscribers, resulting in many one-time users and a low rate of upgrades to premium subscriptions. By leveraging their B2C traction, they aimed to secure B2B contracts and position themselves as an enterprise market intelligence tool. With a robust marketing and sales infrastructure, along with insider advisors from the target audience, the focus of the work was on problem farming, value presentation, and structuring the product for conversion and retention.

Work done:
To support scaling, two key aspects needed attention: the conversion for premium subscriptions and the definition of the planned B2B layer. The onboarding process was remodeled with a new engagement strategy that linked conversion points to the core values of the platform. Fast iterations were achieved through rapid prototype testing with members of the founder and early investor network. Gradual enhancements involved synthesizing and incorporating feedback gathered from the app and the business development team, arriving at a solid b2b subscription layer that was taken to demoing to corporate clients to secure contracts.
