This project focused on developing a marketable product output for an innovation-rich service-based startup, building on a theoretical and methodological advancement in individual color selection, including an in-house developed perceptual color sphere that dynamically reshapes for each client. While the technical aspects of the solution were advanced with a solid engineering infrastructure in place, a marketable product output was still lacking. As they were targeting both public and private funding to monetize the innovation, a marketable product or service concept and a clear route to market strategy were needed.

Work done:
Product strategy concepts were developed in collaboration with the stakeholders and included a range of directions, from exclusively licensed B2B embedded solutions for beauty enterprises to B2C color advisory packages based on digital analysis of facial complexion. To gain traction and showcase system output, the first crystallized, marketable product was chosen to be a digital color stylist package that generates a custom color sphere, complete with palette, décor, and dressing guidance for each user. After establishing the service boundaries and customer purchase flow, the project arrived at a communicable output with validated market interest, which was then presented to funding bodies.
