Aim: Engagement and conversion
This project involved a startup in the pre-scale phase, supported by stable venture funding and showing good traction. They were developing an information curation platform utilizing various news aggregators as sources. Challenges appeared in engaging subscribers, as there were many one-time users and a low rate of upgrades to premium tiers. By leveraging the B2C traction, opportunity has opened to move towards business clients and secure B2B contracts to eventually position the product as an enterprise market intelligence tool. With a robust marketing and sales infrastructure, along with insider advisors from circles of the target audience, the focus of the work was problem framing, value presentation, and structuring the product for conversion and retention.

Work done:
To support scaling, I dominantly worked on two key aspects: ensuring conversion for premium tiers and defining the planned B2B layer. The onboarding process was remodeled with a new engagement strategy that linked conversion points to the core values of the platform. Fast iterations were achieved through rapid prototype testing with connections of the founders and early investors. The work involved synthesizing and incorporating feedback gathered through the app and the business development team, arriving at a solid b2b subscription layer that was taken to demoing to corporate clients and investors.
